How to Make Delicious Cookies that are Easy to Ship to Soldiers, Kids at College, etc #2

and lunchboxes to fill, here are cookie recipes that will ship well and
hold up well in lunchboxes. Whether you want to send cookies to your
child in Afghanistan, Iraq, or around the corner to their local school,
these cookies should work for you. Try these Peanut Butter Buddies or
Apple Raisin Nut Cookies the next time you need to send cookies.

PEANUT BUTTER BUDDIES

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
2 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt

In a large mixing bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat peanut butter,
butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and eggs until smooth. Reduce speed and
beat in 2 cups flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. With a wooden
spoon, stir in the remaining flour. Wrap the dough and chill for 2 hours.
On a floured surface, roll out half the dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut
with floured cookie cutters, shapes of your choice. Bake on ungreased
cookie sheets at 325 degrees for 10 minutes or until cookies are lightly
browned. Cool on wire racks. Decorate if desired.

Yield: About 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

APPLE RAISIN NUT COOKIES

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups chopped apples
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour and baking soda; set aside.

Put milk, egg, shortening, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar into a
blender. Blend until smooth. Remove mixture from the blender and add to
the flour mixture. Mix well. Add the raisins, apples, and nuts to the
mixture; blend well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Box
at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Note: As when shipping any food items, package well and ship to arrive
timely.

Busting the myths about video game testing

If you have read my other articles then you will know how sick and tired I
am of reading so many lies found in other articles and websites about
video game testers. I am going to bust most myths about being a video game
tester found in other articles and websites.

Myth One – Game Testers Work from Home:

No! This is such a lie as a video game tester you will not work from home
which is why the companies make you sign a confidentially agreement the
size of a dictionary because they don't want you to reveal their secrets
to anyone else not even your family! (I actually read the damn thing) So
do not get the impression that you wake up and play new games that haven't
been released to the public in your PJ's and make big bucks, dream on.

Myth Two – Game Testers Make Over $100 Per Hour:

Yeah, if you have over 10 years of experience! The fact is that when you
start as a video game tester you will most likely make $8-12 per hour. The
reason for this is because anyone who loves games can become a game tester
and you don't actually need to have a degree although if you do you make
more money. So when you read that game tester can make up to $150 per hour
close the tab.

Myth Three – Game Tester Only Test Big Titles

False, I know it would be the greatest thing ever if you play nothing but
your favorite big titles, but sometimes you're given games that you've
never even heard of. This is why in my other articles I stress so much
that you should pick a company that suits you best because if you get a
company that makes casual games you're going to be stuck playing games
like peggle, puzzle quest, etc. (unless you're into those game then great
=p)
